My father-in-law SSGT Edward Potocki flew as a flight engineer with 815th BS/483rdBG in Italy in 1944 in Hilmer Landholt crew. His aircraft included B-17F 42-4518 Chief Wahoo and B-17G 42-32023 Flak Happy. I'm trying to locate any information or photographs of these aircraft or he and his crew. He survived and lives today in Livonia, Mi.

Hi - I suppose you've tried all the usual suspects? I'd start with armyairforces.com and work through that. I found the site when I was researching a book in French on the transportation plan bombings, so you can imagine the kind of "reach" the site has. (Actually, I kind of like this one, too - but I've only just discovered it.)
Regards
Marc
